Road Test: Is the new Maruti Dzire really desirable?

CNBC-TV18's show for the automobile enthusiast showcases the all New Maruti Dzire.

The old Dzire sold over 3.3 lakh units since its launch in March 2008. It was the ideal entry level sedan-value for money, good to drive and a humongous boot.

Like the new Swift, the new Dzire is also built on an all new platform and it retains a lot of the styling DNA from the Swift. This time Maruti has paid particular attention to two things, the boot is much better integrated than on the old Dzire and the overall length of the car is under 4 meters.

The price of the new Dzire ranges from Rs 4.79 lakhs Ex-showroom Delhi for the base LXi Petrol to Rs 7.09 lakhs for the fully loaded ZDi Diesel.

CNBC-TV18's Sandeep Srikanth takes out the much-awaited new avatar of the entry level sedan out for a spin.

Also on the show, answers to all your motoring queries in Auto Selector with Overdrive Editor Sirish Chandran. And lastly, wrap up of all latest motoring news starting with a big launch from Bajaj.
