Is the auto giant BMW, which is well known for its nifty in-car implementation of technology, getting into consumer electronics? Even though the official launch of this device by BMW is just a few weeks away, it's already got everyone guessing.

The launch of a flash teaser on its website depicting a sleek, continually morphing device that touts its ability to play MP3s, DVDs and CDs, appears to have created quite a buzz. The device according to BMW, recharges itself, has USB and Bluetooth connectivity options, can recognize voice commands, comes with a 65,000-colour LCD display and is low on energy consumption.

It may end up being just another technological aspect of a car. Since there are three pieces or gadgets on display, bloggers insist it may be all part of the whole new iDrive or an MP3 player made exclusively for BMW.
