Here is a verbatim transcript of Udayan Mukherjee’s comments on CNBC-TV18. Also watch the accompanying video.

After two smart days for the market, the Nifty has had a somewhat volatile session. It closed with modest gains, but kept its head above 2,900 mark. In the largecap space, DLF and Unitech lead a real estate rally, but Monday’s stars – the metal stocks gave up some of their gains.

Meanwhile, global markets approached the stimulus package in the US with quite a degree of apprehension. Asia never put on anything major today and while our markets were trading high, Europe was quite deep in the red.

So, India did not do too badly but the global markets were a bit apprehensive and moody going into the event.
