King of aces: Tennis legend Roger Federer hits a new milestone
The Swiss, who has won 18 men's singles Grand Slam titles, became only the third person to reach the milestone.
Tennis legend Roger Federer reached another milestone in his tennis career when he became only the third player in the history to have hit 10,000 aces.
The historic milestone was achieved at the Wimbledon championship on Tuesday during the first set of the round of 128 Wimbledon clash against Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov.The 18-time Grand Slam champion joins the small club which includes big-hitting Croatians Goran Ivanisevic and Ivo Karlovic. The records are calculated from 1991 onwards as it was from then that the ATP World Tour started tracking statistics.
