The film which is in tune with PM Narendra Modi's Swatch Bharat Abhiyan is likely to enter the Rs 100 crore Bollywood club in the first week itself.

"Akshay Kumar has long moved from his romcom hero days towards meaningful cinema where audience expects watchable content from the actor " said film trade analyst Atul Mohan.

According to Mohan the film is expected to make Rs 15 crore on day 2 and slightly higher than that on day 3. " The producers have done well to release the movie now to capitalise on the patriotic fervours around the Independence day eve."

The movie is expected to collect close to Rs 125 crore from the box office there by bringing in relief to drying coffers of Bollywood.

Strong in content, Toilet ek Prem Katha has proved to be a commercially viable production against Shah Rukh Khan's Harry met Sejal that clocked opening week collection to the tune of Rs 60 crore.

Movie rights have been acquired by Viacom for Rs 53 crore by Viacom 18 against that of his last film Rustom that was bought at 41 crores.
