'Swedish companies to invest over $1 bn in next 2-3 years'

Sweden companies are likely to invest additional one billion dollars into India in the next two to three years is the word coming in from Banashri Bose Harrison, Indian Ambassador, Sweden.


This after February saw one of the biggest business contingents from Sweden coming to India to participate in the Make in India week, and a month after its prime minister told CNBC-TV18 that Swedish companies are going to ramp up their investments in the country. 


Harrison says its smart cities and the clean India initiatives like 'Swachh Bharat' that is attracting the maximum eyeballs because these are the areas where the Swedish companies have products services and technologies.

"Green energy, how to manage power in a smart way are the lessons Sweden has learnt in its own growth," she said in an interview to CNBC-TV18's Priya Sheth in Stockholm from the sidelines of the India Unlimited Conference.
