All power comes at a price and today’s increasingly thin and powerful tablets sometimes have to pay a very big price in exchange for power – overheating. Tablets have little or no ventilation, meaning manufacturers have to increasingly focus on design and tweaks to make sure the devices don’t overheat. Apple, being one of the major players in the tablet market is trying to be very careful with regards to its tablets overheating and is all set to fix any possible issues. The Cupertino-based company is said to be working on a minor redesign of the latest iPad in a bid to prevent overheating issues.According to reports, the latest iPad will undergo minor revisions with its backlight module being modified to have only one LED structure, instead of the two LED structure used in the current version. DigiTimes, citing supply chain sources, reported that the company is also going to enlarge the tablet’s camera lens cavity. According to the report, the extra LED is apparently causing overheating as more LEDs to provide more backlight causes more power to be used. |
