Sony Xperia tipo and tipo dual available for pre-order on retail sites

Sony officially announced the Xperia tipo and its dual-SIM cousin Xperia tipo dual in June this year, but the smartphone is yet to reach Indian shores. However, you won’t have to wait for long as the smartphones are available for pre-order on retail websites such as Infibeam and Flipkart. The Xperia tipo and tipo dual are expected to be launched in India in the second week of September this year.The Xperia tipo has a 3.2-inch, capacitive scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, and a 3.15 megapixel camera. The smartphone runs on Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and is powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and an Adreno 200 GPU. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a microUSB port. The tipo gives you 2.5GB of storage space, which is expandable to up to 32GB via microSD cards and has 512MB of RAM. The phones come with Sony’s very own user interface and are pre-loaded with Google applications such as Google Talk, Gmail, Google Maps, and Google Voice Search.
