Nokia revealed its 'Connect' range in Singapore last week. This range was aimed at more ease of use, simple yet sleek looks and good features. Nokia launched five phones in the Indian market, within mid-range pricing which is suitable for everyone to buy.
The first phone in the connect range supports 16 Asian languages is called the Nokia 110i. The talking alarm in this phone will ring in the language of your choice. The phone supports MP3 ringtones and is a basic entry level phone. The Nokia 110i is priced between Rs 2,000 - Rs 3,000.
3G technology is the future of mobile phones and Nokia had a model in this range too, dubbed the Nokia 6151. In addition to the phone on your existing network, it will upgrade itself and be 3G compatible too. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera and you can download and watch videos on it. The price is estimated to be around 200-240 euros which translates into Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000
The next in the range is the Nokia 6080 and is aimed at pleasing teenagers. The buttons are designed differently, it has FM radio, supports MP3 ringtones and has a VGA camera. The price band is between Rs 5,000-Rs 8,000
Nokia is not leaving the CDMA category behind, and so, it has released the 6275 and the 2875. The bodies are made of steel and have good camera capacity. The key USP that Nokia is aiming at with this launch is to make better phones but at an affordable price. After China, Nokia believes that India is the next big destinationa.
