Google is reported to be working on a pair of glasses that will eliminate the need for users to constantly whip out their phones for fragmented pieces of information at a time. According to the New York Times, Google is working on a pair of glasses that will stream information to a user's eyes in real time. The glasses will go on sale towards the end of this year, say people who are familiar with the matter. The glasses will be Android-based (of course), will have 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities, motion sensors and GPS, a low resolution built-in camera, will utilize augmented reality and will be able to send data to the cloud. The glasses will also utilize Google services, like Latitude, Maps and appropriately, Goggles. |
