After its success with camera and FM radio mobile phones in India, Nokia has launched the E-series phones that offers advanced voice and data functionalities.
After its success with camera and FM radio mobile phones in India, Nokia has launched the E-series phones that offers advanced voice and data functionalities. But in selling these high-end instruments, which cost between Rs 13,500 and Rs 20,000, Nokia faces a challenge - not many retailers understand these functionalities well enough to explain them to customers.
Go to a shop and ask for an E-series mobile; the man behind the counter would say the device is sleek and the battery lasts longer, but he may not be able to explain the features for Internet access, e-mail and connectivity options.
Training Retailers
"It is very depressing when they cannot explain the features. It is crucial that retailers explain such features to convince customers to buy such high-end devices. We want to provide better customer experience and what they demand," says Mr G.K. Chakrapani, Country General Manager, Nokia Enterprise Solutions (India).
