Handset maker Asus on Thursday launched a new handset 'ZenFone AR', priced at Rs 49,999, which supports Google's Tango and Daydream platforms.

Google's Tango and Daydream platforms offer users an immersive and engaging experience.

Tech companies globally are developing apps based on these platforms that will enable users to enjoy a variety of content including sports, live events, and gaming.

Asus Regional Head South Asia and Country Head System Business Group India Peter Chang said ZenFone AR "will help users turn the physical world into a magical world".

The handset features 5.7-inch display, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal memory and 23MP rear camera.
