The popularity of Google’s operating system is increasing by the day, but while it continues its upward climb, reportedly its susceptibility to malware has been increasing, just as steadily. A new study by Fortinet has analyzed the malware content for this year and the company has observed a whopping 90 percent jump in malware content in 2011, as compared to 2010. This doesn’t indicate the number of devices that have been infected, but is simply a statistic indicating that there is malware out there on the Android Marketplace, waiting to infect Android smartphones and tablets alike. |
