Ashwani Gujral's top picks for trade todayPublished on Wed, Oct 13, 2010 at 09:47 | Source : CNBC-TV18 Updated at Thu, Oct 14, 2010 at 08:35
Technical analyst Ashwani Gujral is bullish on the prospects of Mirc Electronics , Unichem Lab , Tube Investment , Oracle Finance and Tata Motors . He advises traders to buy into these stocks. Speaking to CNBC-TV18's Udayan Mukherjee and Sonia Shenoy, Gujral also spoke about his reading of the market and the road ahead. Here are the key levels to watch out: On Tata Motors On weak days also Tata Motors has shown some strength, so in the autos this one looks the best. We could buy this with a stop of about Rs 1,100 target and over the short-term it could be closer to Rs 1,250 On Tube Investments It has been moving sideways at the top of its trading range for sometime and now it's seemingly trying to break out. You could buy this one with a stop of about Rs 148 and target in the short-term could be closer to Rs 165. On Unichem Laboratories Midcap pharma, midcap FMCG's are tending to do well. We buy this with a stop of about Rs 535 and target here could be closer to Rs 600. On MIRC Electronics During the Diwali season, censurable durable type stocks are likely to do well. Plus it's a double digit stock that is an extra plus. We buy this one with a stop of about Rs 27 and target here could be Rs 35. On Oracle Financial Services It is a very little discussed stock but it is a pretty good outperformer. The stock is showing strength even on weak days. You can buy the stock with a stop of about Rs 2,275 and target here could be closer to Rs 2,500. Below is a verbatim transcript of his views. Also watch the accompanying videos. Q: All your top five picks were a buy. Does that mean you don't think the market will fall too much despite the weakness of the last few sessions? A: For the day it may not fall but overall there is more than what meets the eye. Everyday in the last one-and-half hours, three stocks move up and the market recovers. Maybe the real trend will be revealed only post the Coal India IPO. Till then I would stay a bit light.
