Hindalco may give 5- 7% returns, says Dilip Bhat, Prabhudas Lilladher.

Bhat told CNBC-TV18, "Hindalco numbers are ahead of expectation at 451 crore and the other part is if I am correct they are issuing some preferential warrants to the promoters. So both put together it does appear that the management seems to be very confident but in Hindalco for a short-term maybe yes, one could take a positional call but slightly on a secular long-term basis since I am not so bullish about the economy whether its India or the world so its very difficult to take a secular long-term bet on stock like Hindalco maybe on a short-term basis it could still give some 5-7% returns."

The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 11.16 per share. (Sep, 2011). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 14.22. The latest book value of the company is Rs 155.07 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 1.02. The dividend yield of the company was 0.94%.
