Yes Bank , Axis Bank and IndusInd Bank are the top picks in banking, says Dipan Mehta, Member, BSE & NSE.

Mehta told CNBC-TV18, "The usual disclosure that we may have recommendations investments. In banks, our top pick is Yes Bank, Axis Bank and IndusInd Bank. But top pick would be Yes Bank. It also benefits from this deregulation of savings bank rate."

He further added, "Within the IT sector, I think that Wipro looks quite interesting. Available at attractive valuation compared to what it has historically been trading at. Some of these smaller IT companies like NIIT Tech , Polaris , Hexaware ; all these companies have survived downturns in the industry pretty well and they have kind of form their own niche and also largely de-risk their business model and available at very attractive valuations, good ROEs and very clean balance sheet. So maybe these companies could surprise on the positive. No doubt, I think the rally in tech has to be led by the largecaps, but this time around I wouldn't like to ignore the midcap stocks.

Disclosure: All the companies or sectors, we are overweight on them. We have investments recommendations.
