Vijay told CNBC-TV18, "Punjab Tractors have been on a downtrend for a long time. Remember a couple of years ago it used to be Rs 200 plus when the takeover took place. After that it went into a long bear hug. The tractor industry is enjoying good demand after a long time. The industry was carrying huge inventories in 04 and they ran out of that in 05 and now they got the pricing power back. The whole tractor pack, Eicher , Mahindra&Mahindra , Punjab Tractors , Escorts , most of them would report very decent numbers going forward."
