Suresh Mahadevan neutral on metal sector

Suresh Mahadevan , HOR at UBS Securities is neutral on metal sector.

Mahadevan told CNBC-TV18, "Metal is a sector where we are not sticking our neck out; we are quite neutral on the sector. Stocks we like in the sector are Hindalco and Sterlite . We do not have too much conviction in something like Tata Steel ; we definitely are negative on SAIL . So our view on this sector is not unilateral buy. We do like Sterlite and Hindalco perhaps and in our model portfolio we are kind of neutral on the sector."

He further added, "This sector has done so well in the last 12 months or so since March I would guess, some of these stocks have done so well, I think investors are probably not finding enough reasons to buy them because some of the stocks have gone up four-five time."
