Sudarshan Sukhani, s2analytics.com feels that one should prefer Hero MotoCorp to Ashok Leyland.

Sukhani told CNBC-TV18, “I don’t think Ashok Leyland is going to outperform the market. It’s not even likely to outperform the auto sector, so my advice would be to exit Ashok Leyland and wants to remain in auto then should go to Hero MotoCorp or Bajaj Auto, both will be outperformers and if willing to change sector then go to the banking sector which will be an outstanding outperformer.”
