R Balakrishnan of Centrum is of the view that NTPC is a good long term bet.
Balakrishnan told CNBC-TV18, "NTPC does look expensive but what I believe is that for the dominance it has in the market plus the future plans it has, I think if you are having a shares or you would like to own bit of power sector this would probably be the first bet you would take. I do like this company, I don’t own shares in them but I think as a company in the power sector, this is by far the most dominant one in the public sector. So I think it is a natural bet for most investors. Only thing is you cannot bet this for the short-term, you have to play this for the long-term."
