Saurabh Mukherjea, Head of Equities, Ambit Capital shares his view on Eicher Motors .

Mukherjea told CNBC-TV18, "Eicher Motors is an interesting one. It's a strong player in medium goods vehicles and heavy goods vehicles, it has tie up with Volvo, 40% of the market cap is cash on the balance sheet, attractive at discounts to Ashok Leyland, I think 15-20% discount to Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors."

He further added, " Gateway Distriparks has high quality logistic franchise. Clearly at this juncture of the economy nobody is buying, running out to buy logistic franchises. If I had to choose a name which will lead this space in the years to come, I would point towards Gateway Distriparks. Similarly there are names such as Bosch and FAG Bearing - strong players in the ancillary space, impeccable governance, strong balance sheets, valuations aren't particularly demanding. So this battleship idea is something which we focus on for some time to come because I think the economic environment is such that you do need to considerable amount of management strength and financial strength to excel in the year ahead."
