Manish Sonthalia of Motilal Oswal Securities is of the view that hotel space looks good.

Sonthalia told CNBC-TV18, "The hotel sector is one to look out for in the medium to long-term. Top picks within the sector would be Asian Hotels and Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts . The topline growth of approximately 20% for Asian Hotels as we move into FY08, earnings growth could be anywhere between 50-55%. Taj GVK at 35% sales topline growth and would be another 60-65% earnings growth. Hotels space is clearly looking good."

He further added, "The gems and jewellery space, Goldiam International is one company we can look at, earnings growth could be expected in the range of 30-35%, valuations are reasonable. These are some of the companies you can look in the midcap space."

Disclosure: I don't personally hold any of these stocks but our clients definitely would be holding some of the positions.
