Jagdish Malkani, Member NSE/ BSE feels Tata Power is a pedigree stock. “If I had to hold a power stock this would certainly be there,” he adds.
Jagdish Malkani, Member NSE/ BSE told CNBC-TV18, “Certainly the power sector has been blooded in the whole market and with good reason. All issues about coal and in particular Tata Power kind of partly misfired if I were to say with this whole Indonesian foray and they are asking for higher pricing and the government is playing hardball.”
“However, today I am expecting better numbers. The Mundra numbers will start rolling in and certainly it is a pedigree stock. If I had to hold a power stock this would certainly be way out there. It has done nothing, it has been a real dog as a stock. So, its time will come, its excellent management. So this Mundra and Indonesia issue has been a big cloud, but it will get sorted out,” Malkani said.
