Hold Novartis India: G Shanbhag

Ganesh Shanbhag, CEO-SMS Financial Services is of the view that one should not participate in Novartis. The fact is though they are increasing their stake they will not be delisting the stock as of now. So as long as there is no delisting and the stock getting totally illiquid it is advisable to hold on to the stock at this point in time.

Ganesh Shanbhag , CEO-SMS Financial Services is of the view that one can hold Novartis India .

Shanbhag told CNBC-TV18, "One should not participate in Novartis. The fact is though they are increasing their stake they will not be delisting the stock as of now. So as long as there is no delisting and the stock getting totally illiquid I think it is advisable to hold on to the stock at this point in time because in the last fifteen days we have seen a revision and if the tender of the number of shares is not adequate, there is a possibility going forward that the company would want to increase their stake at a later date at a better price than where we are today. So probably holding on to the stock at this point in time would make great sense."
