According to Sharmila Joshi, Head of Equity of Peerless Securities, one may hold ITC with a long term view.
Sharmila Joshi, Head of Equity of Peerless Securities told CNBC-TV18, "From a long term view I really wouldn't exit ITC because the set of Q1 numbers that it has had this quarter was fairly decent. Its non-cigarette business is growing very nicely which has been a focus area for the company."
"One can partially book profit. But if one has a reasonably long term view, then ITC is a portfolio stock for me," she said.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 380.00 and 52-week low Rs 257.00 on 24 July, 2013 and 26 July, 2012, respectively. Currently, it is trading 3.03 percent below its 52-week high and 43.39 percent above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 291,182.55 crore.
