Go short in Larsen and Toubro , says Sandeep Singal, Co-Head Institution Equities, Emkay.
Singal told CNBC-TV18, "In this kind of environment where investments are not really happening on the private side and government expenditure is mostly on the consumption side, capital goods sector is clearly an underperformer and avoidable. One could go short, stocks like L&T, which has moved about 35-38% from the Rs 1000 level is fantastic short."
He further added, " BHEL , if you see last 3 quarters there has not been any increase in order flow. So, the order book is decelerating. So, all these factors don't really make me believe that one should buy capital goods stocks, particularly BHEL or L&T."
