Sukhani told CNBC-TV18, "Gail is moving in a trading range, it's giving the impression of an eminent breakout, it moved up a bit yesterday. So Gail is for the day trader, for the F&O trader. Gail is a very interesting opportunity and it's ready for big move."

At 09:40 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 419.70 with volumes of 14,690 shares. Yesterday the share closed up 1.43% or Rs 5.90 at Rs 419.70.

The company touched its 52 week high Rs 449.40 and 52 week low Rs 223.75 on 19 Jan, 2010 and 20 Mar, 2009, respectively. Currently, it is trading -6.61% below its 52-week high and 87.58% above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 53,238.00 crore.

The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 22.54 per share. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 18.62. The latest book value of the company is Rs 116.44 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 3.6. The dividend yield of the company was 1.67%.
