Chouhan told CNBC-TV18, "All private banks are showing very good strength. In that space, HDFC Bank , ICICI Bank even Yes Bank are showing very good strength. ICICI Bank is the stock to buy."

ICICI Bank closed at Rs 960.40, up Rs 11.30, or 1.19% with volumes of 637,564 shares. Yesterday the share closed up 1.97% or Rs 18.30 at Rs 949.10. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 107,001.23 crore.

The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 33.78 per share. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 28.43. The latest book value of the company is Rs 444.60 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 2.16. The dividend yield of the company was 1.15%.
