European badminton mixed doubles champion Kellogg to quit

Leading English badminton international Donna Kellogg, the 2008 European mixed doubles champion with Anthony Clark, is to retire.

Kellogg, 31, announced her decision after arriving home from the China Open. She will play one last event if she receives, as expected, an invitation to the World Super Series Masters Finals in Malaysia from December 2-6.

She won 11 English national titles, the first in 1998 with women's doubles partner Joanne Goode. The pair also captured Commonwealth Games gold that year and followed up with victory in the European championships final in 2000.

In 2006 Kellogg won the European title again, this time with Gail Emms. In the same year she also took mixed doubles silver with Clark at the world championships in Madrid.
