A) Was IPL Season 2 a hit?

The matches were good. The semi final berths wide open till the end. A great final, and a brand new champion. Despite the odds IPL Season 2 delivered great sporting action and in the process became an international brand almost over night. But what did it deliver to the advertisers? The TV ad revenues this season are said to have touched 500 crore Rs. Click on the video for a report from Pritha Dasgupta of CNBC-TV18.

As joint secretary tourism between 2002 and 2007, Kant led the team that designed and commissioned the multi-media and multi-disciplinary `Incredible India' branding exercise.
