Here is a third generation entrepreneur who is trying to modernise a 70-year old family business. Banaras Beads is in the business of manufacturing beads. They have got manufacturing plants in India. It is an export venture that is actually putting together accessories for the world.
How often have you actually seen your clothes spilling out of your closet and wondered how you could actually put them to good use? Our change agent has the answer to that problem. He started his NGO called Goonj, which is really a globalisation organisation. They take from the rich and give to the poor. Here is the story of Goonj that is echoing across the country.
At 21, most regular college kids are trying to get on with life and find themselves a job. This young turk transformer and a couple of his classmates actually decided to go out there and look for funding and started their first start-up MobMe in 2008. In fact, they made their first million while still in college.
