Humming Bird Suites:An alternative to high-cost hospitality

Vinod Thimmaya, Co-founder & MD, Humming Bird Suites: Our game changer this week decided to cash in the booming hospitality business in India in 2005. With just Rs 3 lakh he stated Humming Bird Suites,an alternative to high cost hospitality. Today spread across several different states in India Humming Bird Suites is already seen revenues of about Rs 25 crore. Here is the story of Vinod Thimmaya. 

Kaushalendra, Founder, Samriddhi: Our change agent this week is a young IIM Ahmedabad graduate who decided to give up a corporate career and head back home. Kaushalendra started Samriddhi in Bihar in 2007 - His mission to connect the farmer with vegetable vendors and then the consumer. So it was all about bringing a little bit of organization into an unorganized trade. Here is the story of Samriddhi that is bringing prosperity in Bihar. 

Varun Tuli, Founder, The Yum Yum Tree: On launch pad you get to meet a former investment banker who is dabbling with the fashion business and more recently the food and hospitality business. Varun Tuli is 27 and he started the Yum Yum Tree a high end specialty restaurant in Delhi in 2008 with Rs 4 crore and today is seeing a turnover of Rs 6 crore. He has already made this a foodies destination in the capital. Here is his story.
