Back to the future: The next global crisis

From the America to the Europe, in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, policymakers are still trying to make sense of the global economic crisis that emerged in 2007.

In the mean time, taxpayers across the world are shoring up financial systems as finance moves back into profitability. The public wants assurances that there wont be a return to business as usual and politicians are asking if we can redesign market capitalism but could the determination to avoid repeating past mistakes mean that we miss warning signs for new dangers ahead.

CNBC brought together, regulators, politicians and industry leaders to bring the focus back to the future to identify the next major threat on the road to recovery.

Is there a danger that the world economy could take a hit from the unexpected just as it begins to recover? Could the strategies implemented to pull us out of the last crisis infact lead us into the next?

We will discuss today, the possible challenges that could trip us off the road to recovery.
