I like the tag of 'poster boy of independent cinema' because it kind of rung true. In most my films, I worked with Directors who did not confirm to formula and I did not want to confirm to formula. I made commercial entertainers without necessarily being relegated to formula and that is what made it independent, said Abay Deol.
