The Indian rupee opened at 55.80 per dollar versus 55.91 yesterday.


SSharad D Pawaar, SPFX INDIA said, "The rupee is likely to gain marginally as the dollar gave up some of its gains. The anticipated recovery in equity markets may support the currency. The range for the day is seen between 55.65-55.95/USD."
