Rupee opens at 53.25 per dollar

The Indian rupee opened at 53.25 per dollar versus 53.22 yesterday.

The Indian rupee opened at 53.25 per dollar versus 53.22 yesterday.

Ashish Vaidya, UBS said, "The rupee could break the technical support at 53.06/USD, primarily driven by inflows expected from offshore investors in the Oil India OFS (offer for sale). The  range for the day is seen between 52.75-53.30/USD."
