Rupee, bonds end higher

The rupee ended higher against the dollar recovering from its lows because banks sold the greenback noting the local shares' rise and due to
hopes of a positive Union Budget Monday.

The Indian rupee ended higher at Rs 47.88 per USD as against its previous close of Rs 47.95.

The widely traded 6.07%, 2014 paper closed higher at Rs 99.33 as against its previous close of Rs 98.94.
