Tata Consultancy Services has dislosed its Q3FY07 numbers. With results that are above expectations, the company posted net profit of Rs 1104.7 crore versus Rs 991.5 crore in the previous quarter, up by 11.41%. Its revenues was up 8.4% at Rs 4860 crore from Rs 4482.2 crore.

CFO of TCS, S Mahalingam says the company performed well against the background of a rising Indian Rupee. MD and CEO of the company, Ramodorai adds to that saying that TCS is the first Indian company to earn USD 1 billion in revenues in a single quarter. He further said revenues crossed USD 3 billion in the first three quarters.

The company also closed five deals of over USD 50 million.
