Bank of Baroda has announced its third quarter results. The company's Q3 NII was up 9.52% at Rs 1,601.2 crore versus Rs 1,461.8 crore, year-on-year, YoY.

Its net profit was up 17.52% at Rs 832.5 crore versus Rs 708.4 crore, YoY. The numbers were better-than-expected; earlier CNBC-TV18 poll saw the net profit at Rs 714.7 crore and net interest income at Rs 1,500.8 crore.

Other income was down 22% to Rs 659.65 crore from Rs 846.49 crore. Provisions were at Rs 242.49 crore from Rs 350.1 crore.

Domestic CASA stood at 36.1% versus 36.2% in Q2.

* Q1FY10: 2.57%
* Q3FY09: 3.3%

* Q3FY10 :0.31%
* Q2FY10: 0.27%
* Q1FY10: 0.27%

* Q3FY09: 0.37%

Bank Of Baroda says,

  • 26% growth in global business
  • CASA grew by 25%; CASA ratio at 36.1%
  • Saw NPA slippages of Rs 363 crore in Q3
  • Gross NPA at 1.4%, Net NPA at 0.3%
  • Restructured assets at Rs 4,800 cr; under control
