Jet Airways has announced its Q3FY07 result. The company's Q3 net profit was at Rs 40 crore (Rs 400 million) versus Rs 61 crore (Rs 610 million) in the corresponding quarter previous year.
- Its QoQ net profit was at Rs 40 crore as against loss of Rs 124.2 crore (Rs 1.24 billion).
- The sales increased to Rs 1935.7 crore (Rs 19.37 billion) from Rs 1,478.3 crore (Rs 14.78 billion) YoY.
- Its Oct-Dec fuel cost stood at Rs 611 crore (Rs 6.11 billion) versus Rs 449 crore (Rs 4.49 billion).
- Fuel surcharge of Rs 750 and congestion fee of Rs 150
- Cut in fuel surcharge is not expected; airlines to keep it steady
- No hedging positions open on fuel
- Tragetting long term sustainable domestic EBIDTA margins of 20-24%; international 20-22%
- Have out netwrok and yield mgmt in place; cost optimisation has to fall into place
- Opening new international routes in H2
- International operations are stabilising; Unit revenues are increasing
- International travel demand is robust; will look at 70% load factor on stabilised routes
- FY09:Will have 22 white bodies and 2-3 737's; over 50% of revenues would be from International operations.
- Will not breakeven as 8 new routes will be added in FY09; International operations will be breakeven by FY10
- Online booking are still 8% of overall booking; New booking system to be put into force by Feb
- By March 2007, online booking should be 25% of overall bookings and will have corporate booking system too
- Rs 1.8 billion was spent to support Sahara operations. If amount is not recoverable, then we need to provision for the same
- Capital raising to the tune of $400 million; have not decided when and how. $400 million is needed to maintain leverage ratios
- Cargo revenues of $ 37 million dollars Vs 30.5 million dollars, YoY
- New white bodies to be put into use for New York in August; One more route to New York via shanghai in October
