Wipro Q1 net profit up 0.5% at Rs 1015.5 cr

Wipro has announced its Q1FY10 numbers. Its consolidated net profit went up 11.78% at Rs 1015 crore as against Rs 908 crore, QoQ.

Its consolidated income increased 4.8% to Rs 6,289 crore versus Rs 6,001 crore.

The company's consolidated net sales declined to Rs 6,289.1 crore from Rs 6,482.1 crore (QoQ) and net profit went up a bit by 0.54% to Rs 1,015.5 crore from Rs 1,010 crore (QoQ).

Its Q1 (US GAAP) IT services revenue stood at $1,033 million, down 1.3% (QoQ).

IT services business added 26 new clients. US contributed 43% to revenues versus 45% and Europe contributed 20% to revenues versus 22% (QoQ).

Guidance
Wipro expects Q2 IT revenues at $1035-1053 million.Its guidance factored in dollar/rupee at 48.23 level.
