Shree Renuka Q1 net profit falls sharply to Rs 13.3 cr

The country's largest sugar refiner Shree Renuka Sugars' net profit declined sharply to Rs 13.3 crore in the quarter ended June 2012 as against Rs 187 crore in a year ago period. Analysts on an average had a forecast of net loss at Rs 7.5 crore.

The country's largest sugar refiner Shree Renuka Sugars ' net profit declined sharply to Rs 13.3 crore in the quarter ended June 2012 as against Rs 187 crore in a year ago period. Analysts on an average had a forecast of net loss at Rs 7.5 crore.


Net sales fell by 33.75% to Rs 1,484 crore from Rs 2,240 crore during the same period, which was quite lower than expectations of Rs 2,245 crore.
