MTNL Q1 loss declines to Rs 1,059 cr

State-owned telecom operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has reported a net loss of Rs 1,059 crore in the quarter ended June 2012 as against loss of Rs 1,374.4 crore in the previous quarter.

State-owned telecom operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has reported a net loss of Rs 1,059 crore in the quarter ended June 2012 as against loss of Rs 1,374.4 crore in the previous quarter.


Income from operations fell marginally to Rs 830.4 crore from Rs 840.7 crore during the same period.


The share declined 0.75% to close at Rs 33.25 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
