Kingfisher Airlines Q3 loss at Rs 413.39 cr

Kingfisher Airlines has announced its third quarter results. The company's consolidated revenues (including Deccan) were at Rs 1447.83 crore versus Rs 1353.27 crore.

Its loss was at Rs 413.39 crore versus Rs 427.37 crore. Its PBT was at Rs 626 crore versus Rs 423.27 crore.

Higher losses due to

• Initiation Costs of international operations - Rs.174 crores
• Exchange rate impact of dollar denominated expenses (approx Rs.60 crores).
• Interest expenses during Q3 FY 09 has increased by Rs.103 crores as compared to Q3 FY 08
• Operating costs in Q3 FY 09 includes provision for contingencies for return of aircraft of Rs.30 crores approximately
• Changed accounting policy on rent payable to lessors; if this was not changed; the loss for this quarter would have been higher by Rs 152 cr
