Jet Airways has annouced its second quarter results. The company reported net loss of Rs 55.13 crore (Rs 551.3 million) versus profit of Rs 68.6 crore (Rs 686 million).
Its total income was up at Rs 1,821.2 crore (Rs 18.21 billion) from Rs 1,324.2 crore (Rs 13.24 billion).
Jet Airways' domestic operations accounted for 83% of revenues in the second quarter against 88% YoY.
Its International operations accounted for 17% of revenues versus 12% in the second quarter of last year.
The company expects to induct 6 additional aircraft into fleet by March 2007.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 45 classic and next generation Boeing 737 - 400/700/800/900 aircraft, 3 Airbus A340 -300E aircraft, 1 Airbus A330-200 and 8 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.
According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, the company's net loss was seen at Rs 25.1 crore (Rs 251 million) versus Rs 68.6 crore (Rs 686 million), year-on-year, YoY.
Its operating revenues were expected to go up 24.7% to Rs 1595 crore (Rs 15.95 billion) from Rs 1279.6 crore (Rs 12.79 billion).
The operating revenues were seen going down 3.1% to Rs 1595 crore (Rs 15.95 billion) from 1646.5 crore (Rs 16.46) QoQ.
The company's net loss was seen at Rs 25.1 crore (Rs 251 million) against loss of Rs 45 crore (Rs 450 million).
