Essar Steel has declared its second quarter results. The company's Q2 net profit was up at Rs 154.3 crore (Rs 1.54 billion) from Rs 101.7 crore (Rs 1.01 billion).

Its net sales were up at Rs 2079.3 crore (Rs 20.79 billion) from Rs 1584.3 crore (Rs 15.84 billion).

Its OPM was down at 24.5% versus 26.2%.
