Canara Bank has announced its Q3FY08 numbers. It has posted 26.39% growth in its net profit of Rs 458.83 crore for the quarter ended December 2007 as against Rs 363 crore in corresponding quarter of previous year. Net interest income went down 10.03% from Rs 1038.58 crore to Rs 934.36 crore. Other income stood at Rs 546 crore versus Rs 299 crore. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, the bank was expected to post net profit at Rs 400.55 crore and net interest income at Rs 891.49 crore.
