Arvind Q4 net profit down 59% at Rs 27 cr

Arvind, a manufacturer of air-jet loom woven heavy denim and shirting fabrics from cotton, has reported a net profit (excluding other income) of Rs 27 crore for the fourth quarter of FY12, down 58.73% as compared to Rs 63 crore in a year ago period.

Arvind , a manufacturer of air-jet loom woven heavy denim and shirting fabrics from cotton, has reported a net profit (excluding other income) of Rs 27 crore for the fourth quarter of FY12, down 58.73% as compared to Rs 63 crore in a year ago period.


The company earned other income of Rs 41 crore during January-March quarter of 2012 as against Rs 4 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.


After inclusion of other income, net profit of the company jumped 6% during the quarter.


Net sales increased 6.7% to Rs 1,272 crore from Rs 1,192 crore year-on-year.
