Siemens Jul-Sep quarter net profit seen up 5% at Rs 264 cr

Engineering firm Siemens is expected to report a standalone profit after tax of Rs 264 crore in the July-September quarter of 2011, a growth of 5% as compared to Rs 251 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal, according to CNBC-TV18 estimates.

Standalone total income is likely to go up by 15% to Rs 3,479 crore from Rs 3,025 crore during the same period.

EBITDA is seen going up by 3% to Rs 411 crore in the July-September quarter of 2011 versus Rs 397 crore in same quarter the previous year.

Operating profit margin is expected to be at 11.80% versus 13.13% year-on-year

Expectations

-Expect strong revenue growth led by execution of orders in the power segment
-Sales growth in Q4 was strong across segments except mobility and power transmission; revenues from Rs 3000 crore Qatar project driving T&D division revenues
-Expect margin contraction due to rise in commodity prices
-Margins to improve QoQ from 9% to 11.80%
-One-offs and project specific issues have resulted in volatile margins in the past
-Expect margins to remain around 11-12% in the long term
