Educomp Solutions is going to announce its third quarter results on Wednesday. According to CNBC-TV18 poll, the company is likely to report decent earnings on quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis while year-on-year numbers were tepid.
Analysts on an average expect consolidated net profit of the company to grow by 2.3 times QoQ to Rs 12 crore in October-December quarter. Profit, however, is likely to fall more than 50 percent YoY due to higher interest cost. Net sales are seen going up by 16 percent QoQ to Rs 350 crore in the third quarter, but YoY the sales will fall by 4 percent. Meanwhile, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) are expected to jump 40 percent QoQ to Rs 83.5 crore, but YoY the EBITDA will decline 13 percent. Operating profit margin is seen improving 390 basis points QoQ, but declining 240 basis points YoY to 23.9 percent in December quarter. Analysts expect Educomp to add over 6000 classrooms in the smart class segment while there will be no addition of new classroom in ICT and K12 segments.
